The annual MCCG photo competition is on again! In 2009 we received 150 entries and gave out over $1500 in prize money. For the first year, a schools section was also included in the competition with the winner, Upper Brookfield State School, receiving the Lord Mayor's plaque. Read more...

It's that time of the year again... The Moggill Creek Catchment Group Annual Platypus Survey, Sunday 12th Sept.Time: 4:45am - 8:30am followed by a free breakfast Last year was not a great year for platypus sightings with only 6, but lets see if things have improved without the flooding this year! It's really important for long term monitoring to see if numbers have returned to previous years results (15). Last Updated (29 July 2010) MCCG's Contribution to the Koala Crisis in SEQFrom the MCCG wildlife database I submitted a map of our community koala sightings for Chapel Hill/Kenmore Hills/Brookfield/ Upper Brookfield/ Pullenvale/Bellbowrie and Moggill to the South East Queensland Koala Habitat Assessment and Mapping Project that was undertaken by the Queensland Government during 2009. Some weeds you are required to remove; others are an environmental threat and others again are not known to occur in our district.
