Changes to MCCG Newsletter

After a long and significant contribution to MCCG as newsletter editor and in many other ways, Graeme Wilson is handing over some of his activities. The MCCG Newsletter will be edited by Dr. Cathi Lawrence from the next edition. She can be reached by email at MCCG Chairman Warren Hoey has provided more details in his letter below:

Support for our Newsletter Editor Graeme Wilson.

Members will be aware of the significant, and far-reaching, contributions made by Graeme Wilson to the continued success of our Catchment Group. During his ten-year editorship, the MCCG newsletter has become an important point of reference, a major source of information on the group and environmental matters, particularly those of relevance to our catchment and a key reason why members join us. Graeme will continue to be an active contributor to our activities for as long as his health permits but, as Dale mentioned in the Spring issue, he has decided that some of the detailed newsletter work can be handed over. We will find a suitable way to recognise Graeme`s significant achievements and contributions. As a founding member of our group, Graeme`s influence has been felt right across MCCG`s many activities. We know he is going to be a difficult 'act' to follow.
With effect from the forthcoming Summer edition of our Newsletter, Dr Catherine (Cathi) Lawrence will taking on the detailed work as our editor. Cathi has been for many years actively involved in our Annual Photographic Competition, and is currently a Post-Completion Fellow at UQ’s School of Communication and Arts (and is the elected Vice-President of Alumni Friends of the University of Queensland).
Dale Borgelt, Margaret Hastie and Bryan Hacker will continue to make invaluable contributors to the newsletter. Michelle Johnston (Website) and Janine Nicklin (Face Book) have met Cathi and they also are keen to continue their invaluable contributions in supporting communications within MCCG.
The MCCG management committee will support Cathi in providing a comprehensive list of expert referees and will assist in identifying relevant topics and authors for forthcoming editions.
Please note the NEW email address for the MCCG Newsletter Editor. News, photographs and information for the newsletter can now be emailed to Contributions from all members will continue to be welcome.
