CWCN School Holiday fun!

Our partners at the Cubberla Witton Catchment Network have never fail to deliver on fun holiday activities and the upcoming holidays are no exception!

Choose from:

Thursday 4 July 2019 - My Nature Diary — Sketched, Written and Collected

This activity will engage children with nature by observing, experiencing and capturing the moment. It will allow them to absorb at their own pace, to express what they see and feel in their very personal way by creating their very own nature diary. It will teach them mindfulness with the help of our natural surrounds and alert them to those surrounds. The activity is tailored so that it enables younger and older children to have approaches appropriate to their age.

Tuesday 9 July 2019 - Lanterns — Night Games — Fire Pit and Marshmallows

What better way to spend a winter’s evening than outdoors with torches, lanterns, night games, fire pit, hot soup and marshmallows. Let’s create our own lanterns first and transform the area around the CWCN Centre with our creations. After dark use the surrounds for discoveries and games, before we all gather around the fire for oodles of more fun. Mums and Dads are definitely welcome too. And don’t forget to wear something warm. Bring your own torches along, just in case….
